Douglas Chick is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelors degree in Sculpture  and Printmaking.

After graduation Douglas spent twenty years in  the Detroit area Art Advertising business.

Several years ago after some life-changing experiences, he chose to return to his passion of creating sculpture.

Douglas has created public art sculptures for Libraries, Schools and Churches as well as commissions for private homes.

One will find his work to be of an uplifting spiritual nature. Douglas creates his work with a variety of materials; clay, plastaline, plaster and wax- which is then cast, usually in bronze. His sculptures are exquisite, whether one of a kind or limited editions; they are elegantly modeled and finely produced.
