I
/ACT Makes the News Again

The Sun, Sept 28th Troy Eccentric featured a sizable article about I/ACT members James and Charlene Brown which was titled:  "Art Documentary Features Artists Behind "Art Unhinged" Project.
This was a great article which should help to promote interest in the arts in Troy and the
"Art Unhinged" recycled art project .  Thanks again go to Tom Gross of Ford & Earl who has helped us so much by providing studio space!

Another article is also upcoming that will cover the Bemis Elementary School Mural
(see image at the end of the newsletter).

I/ACT Artists finish another mural

Diana Jellinek, Linda Shears and James Homer Brown create a "100 Books" mural for Sherry Buczek's classroom at Bemis Elementary in Troy. The project lasted several weeks over May and June of 2008. The kids loved seeing real artists at work!

"ART UNHINGED"  - the work begins

Picture of one of the 80 pound steel doors from the soon-to-be-demolished Kmart building as it's delivered to the artists' workroom at Ford & Earl.

Troy artist, Beverly Booth who has completed most of her door with a landscape mural was interviewed by the Troy Eccentric. Beverly was also interviewed by the I/ACT film crew. Other "Doors" artists that want to be filmed as their projects progress are encouraged to contact Linda Shears.
