I/ACT Makes the News Again
The Sun, Sept 28th Troy Eccentric featured a sizable article about I/ACT members James and Charlene Brown which was titled: "Art Documentary Features Artists Behind "Art Unhinged" Project.
This was a great article which should help to promote interest in the arts in Troy and the
"Art Unhinged" recycled art project . Thanks again go to Tom Gross of Ford & Earl who has helped us so much by providing studio space!
Another article is also upcoming that will cover the Bemis Elementary School Mural (see image at the end of the newsletter).
I/ACT meets Dracula the Musical - Ridgedale Players Theater

We will have the opportunity to meet the cast after the performance instead of before the performance (as previously noted).
It is a Ridgedale tradition is to serve coffee & sandwiches to theater patrons after the show.
This is I/ACT's first official evening event that will bring together a wide range of artists to meet and exchange ideas. The event will be held on the play's opening night. This fun event is being coordinated by Jaimi Tarnow at the Troy Chamber of Commerce

Co-Sponsor, this year, will be the Troy Athens Band Boosters, with the food arrangements once again provided by the wonderful people at Whole Foods. The Kiwanis Club is also interested in having displays by artists from the Troy community as a part of the evening's attractions. At the suggestion of I/ACT member, Larry Keisling, the Club has agreed to offer I/ACT an opportunity to sell tickets for this event ($25) with the understanding that half of the proceeds from the I/ACT sale of tickets would go to I/ACT. The Troy Kiwanis Club looks forward to I/ACT/'s involvement in this growing Community event !
"Catwalk" - Couture For A Cause - Fashion Show Modeling by Michele Hodges / Fashion Design by Linda Shears

Runway fashion show and auction to benefit Barbara Ann Karmanos Center Institute Partners. One-of-a-kind couture garments are being created with fabrics from the MDC showrooms from local designers. Linda Shears is designing a ruby-red silk evening gown to be worn by our very own Michele Hodges.
Please plan on coming to this event to support Michele in her first runway experience and to bid for a worthy cause.
