"Art on the Grand" Farmington Hills: June 2nd & 3rd

Art on the Grand is a FREE event that will feature more than 100 booths with paintings, sculpture, photography, jewelry, pottery, fiber, and mixed media. There will be a wide array of free entertainment, adding up to a weekend of fun for all ages.
Location: Grand River Ave from Farmington to Grove
Hours: Sat, June 2- 10am to 8pm
Sun, June 3 - 11am to 6pm

The featured entertainment for the pre-glow will be the popular Robin Horlock, and a visual/audio treat from "Empty Canvas," multi-talented entertainers who perform favorites from many eras while actually creating an original artwork for sale.

Brighton Art Guild: Several Exhibit Opportunities
Baiba Jensen from the Brighton Art Guild asked us to mention their "Art at the Library" exhibit program which is in its 14th year. The Brighton District Library averages 700 daily visitors and has an attractive and visible display space for art.
They are lining up the 2013 exhibit roster and the juried competition is open to all Michigan residents.
There will be a series of 6 to 8 weeks exhibits. Each exhibit generally has one 2-D and one 3-D artist.
The official deadline is June 15, 2012. However, that may have some flexibility. The contact information is on the flyer if you need an extension.
Cost is $30 for non-members for up five images. Application Link.

Detroit River Artscape: Deadline Moved to June 3
Artscape is an open competition hosted by the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy. It is a juried art show with $15,000 in cash prizes.
Cost is a flat $20 for 3 entries. Apply via Juried Art Services.
Entry Deadline: June 3rd
Notification Date: June 8th.

ASID Chair-ity Auction at Leon and Lulu's: June 7
Custom designed Chairs for Chair-ty as created by members of the American Society of Interior Designers! They are also looking for student or other volunteers.
